Message From Our Chairman Spring's arrival in San Diego coincides with some exciting news here at Naviscan. We are thrilled to have added the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville to our installed base, as well as to have shipped our first system to Saudi Arabia (destined for installation at King Fahad Hospital in Jeddah). Additionally, Naviscan received ISO 13485 Quality Management System Certification, a necessary step in the process of obtaining CE Marking for shipments to Europe later this spring after a very successful launch and product introduction at the European Congress of Radiology in early March. For U.S. customers considering ways to differentiate their practice, GE Healthcare Financial Services and Sumerset Capital are now both providing attractive rate and terms on operating leases to make Naviscan’s high-resolution breast PET system more affordable for sites concerned about start-up costs.
On the research front, we continue with the momentum of publications started in 2010. The American Journal of Roetgenology published original research from two separate studies demonstrating the continued clinical acceptance of our system. The first study concluded that breast radiologists can achieve a high level of diagnostic performance in interpreting PEM images after a 2‐hour tutorial. Proficiency in Breast MR can take months and usually requires a separate mini-fellowship. The second study established a standard lexicon for the evaluation of PEM images making it simple to share a diagnosis with standardized terminology. Progress continues with our Academic Research partners in reducing dose and experimenting with new tracers. In future editions of this newsletter we will be providing an early look at those results.
Naviscan is more committed than ever to responding to our customers' needs. Please do not hesitate to

Promoting Your PEM Program Through Local Media The NBC affiliate in Columbus, OH recently covered the story of a patient at Riverside Methodist Hospital who was able to undergo a lumpectomy instead of mastectomy after PEM accurately showed a smaller extent of disease given its higher specificity. If you are interested in contacting local media to promote your own PEM program, a Regional Media Kit is available to market your services. Please contact
